Northern Lights in the shire

We had a super treat on Monday night, was sitting in the lounge by the fire doom scrolling the internet as I sometimes venture down the rabbit hole!!! Niki was out for the evening so it was just Archie and me! All of a sudden my Aurora Borrialis app went off pinging! Luckily I took notice and peered outside….

Those that have been to cranford know we’re in the land that time forgot and are proper rural Worzels, the benefits of being in the middle of nowhere is we have no light pollution and fantastic dark sky’s, also no “ Just Eats” thankfully!!!

There was a hazy green and red tinge to the sky and I thought I’ll pop out with the dogs for a looksie… WOW!!! Now we do see the northern lights from time to time but generally you have to see them through a long exposure on a camera for clarity !! Not tonight Matthew ! Absolutely outstanding!!! Like seeing them in the artic circle…

I quickly ran inside to give Archie a shout and we both spent the next hour in amazement of the natural show the suns solar flares had given us!!!

Apparently this years sun activity is going to be strong and there’s a chance we’ll see some more flares heading our way throughout the year! Fingers crossed if you’re coming to stay it will coincide with one of natures best shows!!!
