Tis a heatwave, somewhere? Devon Fishing Holidays weather blurb

Whilst the east of the country has been sweltering we’ve had a mixed bag in the shire, a very comfortable lows 20,s with the odd hotter days, some cloud cover, cracking thunderstorms, northern lights and the odd meteor shower. I’m a great believer that air pressure makes a huge difference to how cranford fishes, the inconsistency in the weather at the mo! It quite noticeable, some days the carp are flying out whilst others it’s seems ther not interested.. Cranford always fishes best Dusk and Dawn and if its a warmer sunny day we generally switches off for a few hours under the mid day sun… I had a cracking day the other day in the bottom pool, which I’ve been targeting this year, with a brace of carp, tench, bream, perch and rudd, a full mixed bag which was highly enjoyable, same spot / time a few days later and really had to work at it… but that’s why we all love fishing… got our usual August regulars in for the same 2 weeks, leafty Dulwich Bill who’s been coming to Cranford for 30 years, Pete the Polemaster, love the way Pete approach’s his fishing, very calm and chilled, always enjoy watching him play his fish & the rest of the gang…

Krill still seems to be the go to for the carp, it’s been doing really well this season.
